Born from the San Francesco vineyard, located at about 570 meters in altitude, this wine demonstrates how the high-altitude terroir of Regaleali can give Cabernet longevity and finesse worthy of the finest Bordeaux. The 1998 vintage was characterized by steady ripening, which allowed for the development of magnificent tertiary complexity. On the nose, it is a sensory labyrinth: notes of eucalyptus, menthol, and roasted bell pepper merge with aromas of blackberry jam, sweet tobacco, old leather, and a subtle trace of graphite. On the palate, it is sumptuous, aristocratic; the entry is broad and velvety, with tannins now fully resolved and silky. The acid streak, still surprisingly lively, supports the imposing structure, leading to a very long, balsamic, and savory finish.
