De Ladoucette au Château du Nozet Baron de L 2020
The icon of Pouilly-Fumé. A regal and complex white wine, where the purity of the fruit blends with a unique chalky minerality and legendary persistence.
De Ladoucette au Château du Nozet Baron de L 2020
The 2020 Baron de L by De Ladoucette represents the quintessence of global Sauvignon Blanc, a cuvée produced only in exceptional years from the oldest vines (over 40 years) of Château du Nozet. 2020 was a sunny year but with incredible technical precision, capable of creating a rich body balanced by a monumental acidic backbone. On the nose, it is a symphony of rare elegance: clear notes of ripe grapefruit, white peach, and elderflower blend with deep hints of flint, beeswax, wild mint, and an extremely refined smoky trail. On the palate, it is sumptuous in volume and verticality; the entry is broad, almost buttery without ever having touched wood, supported by a mineral savoriness that extends the finish into an endless persistence of noble citrus and chalky notes.
