Galardi Terra di Lavoro 2011
A monumental red for wealth and charisma. The olfactory profile alternates between ripe black fruits and tertiary, mineral notes of extreme refinement. On the palate, it is dense, savory, and characterized by a masterful balance between the power of the alcohol and the volcanic drive. A stylish expression that celebrates the greatness and sunny generosity of Campanian viticulture.
Galardi Terra di Lavoro 2011
The 2011 Terra di Lavoro by Galardi is an expression of sumptuous power, the product of a Mediterranean vintage that highlighted the phenolic ripeness of Aglianico on the slopes of the extinct Roccamonfina volcano. While previous vintages stood out for their austerity, the 2011 offers an extraordinary tactile generosity, without ever losing that mineral tension that is the winery's trademark. On the nose, it is a concert of rare elegance: clear notes of cherry in liqueur, ripe plum, and myrtle blend with deep hints of dark chocolate, coffee beans, graphite, and a mineral streak reminiscent of flint and volcanic ash. On the palate, it is sumptuous and enveloping; the entry is broad, dominated by dense, noble tannins that are already wonderfully velvety, leading to a savory, long finish with endless aromatic persistence, characterized by hints of licorice and Mediterranean macchia.
