Garofano Le Braci 2017
A monumental red in terms of richness and territorial charisma. The olfactory profile alternates black fruits in jam with tertiary and balsamic notes of extreme refinement. On the palate, it is dense, savory, and characterized by a masterful balance between the alcoholic power and the freshness of the grape. A stylish expression that represents the pinnacle of Salentine winemaking.
Garofano Le Braci 2017
The Salento "Le Braci" 2017 from Garofano Vigneti e Cantine is the most intimate and monumental expression of Negroamaro, born in the heart of Copertino. Severino Garofano, a master of Salento, created this wine as a challenge to time, allowing the grapes to ripen beyond their usual limit to concentrate the warm, saline soul of the Puglian land. The 2017 vintage, warm and generous, highlighted the most sumptuous part of the fruit without sacrificing its elegance. On the nose, it is a concert of rare elegance: clear notes of dried plum, marasca cherries in spirit, and dried figs merge with deep scents of dark tobacco, bitter chocolate, licorice, and a mineral trail that evokes the red earth and iron. On the palate, it is sumptuous and enveloping; the entry is broad, dominated by a dense and velvety texture that stretches toward a savory, endless finish with an interminable aromatic persistence, characterized by balsamic echoes and sun-scorched Mediterranean scrub.
