Nikka from the Barrel is renowned for its bold character. The nose is complex, with notes of cut flowers, fresh fruit, spices, and a hint of oak. On the palate, it is full-bodied and punchy: the entry is spicy (cloves, cinnamon) before softening into hints of toffee, vanilla, and orange peel. The finish is long, warm, and slightly fruity, with a very delicate wisp of smoke.
