Pétrus Pétrus 2006
A monumental red for charisma, power, and stylistic rigor. The aromatic profile alternates dense dark fruits with mineral notes, truffle, and extremely refined tar. On the palate, it is dense, savory, and characterized by a masterful balance between the strength of blue clay and the nobility of the tannin. A stylistic achievement that represents the absolute pinnacle of world winemaking.
Pétrus Pétrus 2006
The Pétrus 2006 is a monumental work, the absolute pinnacle of Pomerol, and one of the purest and most powerful expressions of Merlot in the world. Although the 2006 vintage was initially overshadowed by 2005, it has proven to be a year of extraordinary precision and depth, perfectly suited to Pétrus' unique terroir. Under the direction of Christian Moueix, the wine has acquired an impressive architectural structure. On the nose, it is a concert of rare elegance: clear notes of wild blackberry, black truffle, and violet mingle with deep hints of dark chocolate, fine tobacco, cigar box, and a mineral trail reminiscent of iron and wet earth. On the palate, it is sumptuous and velvety; the entry is broad, dominated by dense, almost meaty matter, with noble and firm tannins that unfold towards an endless finish, savory and marked by aristocratic balsamic freshness.
