Ruinart Dom Ruinart Blanc de Blancs Brut Grand Cru 2010

Color: Golden yellow with greenish highlights and fine, persistent bubbles. Nose: Initially offers powdery, floral (iris), and mineral (wet stone) notes. As it breathes, toasted and spicy hints emerge mace, hazelnut, toasted almond, and a touch of coffee complemented by ripe citrus notes of lemon. Palate: Rich and taut, with remarkable aromatic concentration. Flavors of fig leaf, black tea, and fresh spices are revealed. The finish is fresh, marked by a subtle bitterness. Vinification: Hand-harvested grapes, alcoholic fermentation in temperature-controlled stainless steel vats, malolactic fermentation, tirage with cork stoppers, aged for at least 9 years “sur lattes,” and manual disgorgement.Grape Variety: 100% Chardonnay.
